my first little photo shoot : )

Last week on Wednesday i went out with my baby sister for some girl time! It turned out better than i could have hoped for. She likes to model and i like to photograph, which is a great combo! Samantha is such a beautiful girl and the best model anyone could ask for, she looks SO natural and she never complains! We had a wonderful time and i really feel like after those few sweet hours we spent together i really know her better.


I love this girl and there really is something so special about her. People are so drawn to her they always have been. I guess you could say "she's got a way about her"

Does EVERY mother feel that she has the cutest baby in the whole wide world??? because i most definitely feel that way ; ) (these are just a FEW pictures i took while trying to figure out just how to use my new shiny toy)

Camping in San Clemente

These pictures are a few weeks old but i still wanted to post them : ) We went on an over night camping trip to San Clemente State Beach with about seven other families from our ward & it was waaaaaaaay too fun! We all had a really good time. We got to the beach at about 6 then Steve set up our giant tent at the speed of light... scout camp paid off : ) then we cooked hot dogs over the camp fire for dinner. Of course those were followed by some smores! That night i was able to experience the joy & peace of rocking my baby to sleep with the waves crashing in the background & then falling asleep to the same sound with my sweetie : ) The next morning Steve made his first attempt at surfing... i wasn't there but i heard it was pretty interesting! We spent the whole rest of the day playing down at the beach but unfortunately i forgot my camera so no pictures of that : ( either way it was an awesome family trip that we'd LOVE to do again!!!!

My sweet visiting teacher pulled Aaden around in this little red wagon and he LOVED it! Her husband actually took all these pictures for us...thanks Don.

HAPpY BirthDAy to ME...

SO..... it was my birthday yesterday!!! The big 2.1. My sweet husband brought me home flowers on his way home from working a double so that he could be the first one to wish me happy birthday right at midnight : ) yellow roses...my FAVORITE! he's always SO thoughtful! Thank you Steven!













Then after we had gone to sleep and woken up and it was REALLY my birthday my whole family went to Disneyland!!! This is my Dad with Aaden he's SUCH an awesome Grandpa : ) i love love love watching these two together.














Finally we got back to my parents and had this amazing ColdStone cake! It was red velvet cake with cake batter ice cream toped with a million sprinkles and some kit kats! Now THATS a party!!!!!!!!!!














My birthday was wonderful. Not only did everyone make sure that my day was filled with all my favorites but my whole family also chipped in to get me the camera that i sooooooo desperately wanted! So you'll be seeing alot more blogging from this girl! Thank you so much to everyone for giving me such a great day! A specail thanks to my MOM for giving birth to me i can finally say i understand : P

These are just a couple of our very first family photos! A super cool couple in our ward, the Madderras, took them for us when Aaden was about 4 months old!

It's been a long time since i've posted anything including pictures of Aaden my sweet little angel! i had a bad experience today that turned into a good experience and allowed my to reflect on the past few months! So i thought that i would share my thoughts with all of you and take this as an opportunity to catch up on my blogging : ) Today my patients expired with Aaden so i put him down for a nap rather he needed it or not! But after he had been asleep for only half an hour i started to miss him and i WANTED him to wake up. and then it hit me that someday i would be sitting around for much longer than a half hour (forever) wishing that i could just hold my baby! i realized that this phase in my life and his is so brief and that i'm more blessed than i can even articulate to have such a precious gift given to me! These pictures sum up what i thought about while my baby was sleeping, i hope you enjoy! Some of these are special days like Aadens first haircut & a picture of Aaden at the DC Temple for a friends wedding, others are pictures of us just hanging out around the house!

Everyone loves an Aaden burrito!!!

Today me and Aaden went out for our usual Wednesday activities. We went to park days and then to chic-fil-a for lunch! After that we splurged and went to the mommy store, it was fun day! : ) however the BEST part of my day was watching my little angel turn himself into a burrito. For the past 3 or 4 weeks Aaden has been rolling over really well and in the last 2 weeks he has been getting really good with his hands! he likes to hold everything and play with it or chew on it. Earlier this afternoon i laid him down on a towel on the floor because all his blankets were upstairs. He liked how it felt so he kept pulling on it. Eventually he rolled over with the towel in his hand and made Mommy a little Aaden burrito! I never imagined that a 4 month old baby could make me laugh so hard, he's SO cute i could just eat him up : )
